The Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, Mussa Dankwa says people’s views about the direction the country is headed improved significantly between April and July, this year.
He said people now have a positive feeling and view about the country.
Mr Dankwa’s remarks follow a new national poll recently conducted by his outfit.
He was speaking in an interview with Bernard Avle on Point of View on Citi TV in Accra on Wednesday.
“In April, 71% of voters said that Ghana was headed in the wrong direction. Now that number has reduced to 63%. That is quite about eight percent drop,” Mr Dankwa stated.
The Global Info Analytics Executive Director said that people who said the country was moving in the right direction moved from a level of 19% in April to 26% in July which was quite a huge jump.
“Usually what you find is that people move from the wrong direction to no opinion, and they move from no opinion to right direction. But this time around, they moved from wrong direction to right direction which means that they felt some impacts within themselves in the last period,” he added.
Meanwhile, Mr Dankwa said 54% of Ghanaian voters prefer Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into the 2024 polls, according to the latest poll by Global Info Analytics.
“The big story is that Alan is the preferred choice of floating voters. He’s popular amongst floating voters. Alan has been consistent throughout. Amongst all Ghanaian voters, 54% of them said they will vote for Alan, they said they prefer Alan. 46% said they will prefer Dr. Bawumia.
“Kennedy Agyapong followed by 21% amongst floating voters. He’s much more popular across the country than he’s within NPP as a fraternity,” he stated.
Global Info Analytics in its report also disclosed that between June 30 to July 7, 2023, the poll suggested that 45% of NPP voters want the vice president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to lead the NPP.
