The National Lottery Authority (NLA) has opened registration for operating and selling lotto products for the year 2024.
The NLA announced in a statement on Tuesday that all interested entities or individuals must get registered within the legal framework of the National Lotto Act, 2006 (Act 722) and the Lotto Regulation, 2008 (L.I. 1948).
Application forms can be obtained from NLA offices across the country and must be submitted by Friday, November 17, 2023.
The NLA Governing Board has reduced the annual license fee from GH¢1.5 million to GH¢500,000 plus a monthly fee of GH¢50,000 for 2024.
To register, the NLA stated that applicants must Pick up a Registration Form from any NLA office nationwide. Pay a non-refundable application fee of GH¢1,000 payable by banker’s draft only in favour of the National Lottery Authority and Submit all applications on an entity/individual basis.
The NLA will only register entities/individuals who have registered in their own right, and no two entities can apply together for registration to operate.
The NLA will also conduct background checks on all applicants before granting the necessary approval to operate.
