The Director of Legal Affairs for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gary Nimako Marfo, has disclosed that the party is working to address all issues raised in relation to the voters’ album in various constituencies before the end of the party’s presidential primary.
Speaking to Citi News, Gary Nimako, who is leading a four-member team to monitor the election in the Ashanti region, noted that so far, no peculiar issues concerning the voters’ album have been brought to their attention. Still, he assured that all issues raised would be resolved to ensure fairness.
“It has not come to my attention, and I will find out from the Director of Elections, and it will be resolved. I can assure you that any problem with the album will be resolved.”
Nimako also lauded the serenity of the process and praised the police for doing a fantastic job at the centers visited.
“The police are doing a wonderful job, and the process is going on peacefully, and I hope it goes on like that.”
“Whoever wins would have won, and whoever loses would have lost in peace, and that is the way I see it,” Nimako added.
Supporters of Kennedy Agyapong in the Awutu Senya East in the Central Region on Thursday threatened to boycott the elections if the voter album, which they believe has been altered, was not corrected.
Alan Kyerematen, in his resignation note, also raised concerns with the delegates’ album.
