Church of Pentecost Chairman inaugurates Amigo Bread Factory

Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, officially opened the Amigo Bread bakery factory along the Accra-Tema motorway, marking a significant step into commercial production. Amigo Bread, a subsidiary of Three Dreamers Company Limited, enters the bread industry equipped with cutting-edge state-of-the-art machinery.

After consecrating the factory to God, Apostle Nyamekye highlighted the economic importance of bread, stating, “When there’s no bread in the nation, it signals trouble. We appreciate a company like this, which will produce affordable bread, making it accessible to ordinary and less privileged individuals.”

Encouraging commitment and focus, Apostle Nyamekye urged the owners and workers to take charge and contribute to the success of the company. Managing Director Bismarck Ofei Ansah appealed for government support, specifically in electricity subsidies and water, emphasizing the financial strain on the company.

“I pay over GHc500,000 monthly for electricity alone for all our production lines. With over 1000 employees to remunerate, government intervention will significantly contribute to our sustainability,” he said.

Amigo Bread under the Three Dreamer Company, a jointly owned Ghanaian and Chinese partnership, aims to provide affordable bread to the broader Ghanaian population, reflecting a commitment to making a positive impact on the community. The company will begin commercial production in January 2024.
