The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Odododiodio constituency is calling on party sympathizers in the area to eschew violence as they endeavour to secure victory in the 2024 elections.
Harriet Betty Thompson, the Deputy Constituency Secretary, emphasized the party’s unwavering dedication to triumph in both the parliamentary and presidential elections in the constituency on December 7, 2024.
This appeal arises in response to the actions of certain dissatisfied supporters of Michael Nii Yarboi, a disqualified aspiring parliamentary candidate in the Odododiodio Constituency.
These supporters engaged in vandalism at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) head office in Accra, obstructing roads with refuse and hurling bricks at the building, resulting in damage to some windows.
During an interview with Citi News, Madam Betty Thompson affirmed that the party at the constituency level is resolute in collaborating with both the regional and national offices to seek a lasting solution to the issue.
“I will urge everyone to not forget the party’s aim which is to win the parliamentary and presidential elections come 2024 December 7. And I believe that very soon the constituency, the regional and national will find a solution to this,” she said.
