Edem Agbana, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Ketu North, has stated that the economy is in distress due to mismanagement.
He attributed this to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government’s inability to address key economic issues.
Mr. Agbana believes that the government has failed to prioritize the necessary measures to generate more resources and create jobs for the country.
In an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Citi FM‘s Eyewitness News on Tuesday, Agbana expressed that the country’s economy is largely reliant on external factors.
“What is wrong with our economy is mismanagement. Mismanagement because those placed in charge of the economy are not able to address the fundamental issues …We have not been able as a country to prioritize the things that will help us generate enough resources and create jobs.
“So our economy is largely dependent on decisions of others,” he said.
