The Women’s Ministry of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) West Hills, held a unique cookathon event for members born on different days of the week.
The event was part of activities lined up for this year’s women’s ministry week which climaxed last Sunday, May 12.
It was also a celebration of unity, diversity, and culinary skills within the congregation.
The cookathon, which took place at the church premises, saw women born on each day of the week form teams to showcase their cooking prowess. The teams were tasked with preparing traditional Ghanaian dishes that reflected the rich cultural heritage of the country.
The event was not just about cooking, but also about fostering unity and camaraderie among the women of the church. It provided an opportunity for the women to bond over a shared activity, learn from each other, and strengthen their community ties.
The cookathen concluded with a feast where everyone in the congregation was invited to partake in the delicious meals prepared by the women. The event was a resounding success, with many praising the initiative for promoting unity and celebrating the diverse culinary talents within the church community.
The PIWC West Hills Women’s Ministry Leader Deaconess Mrs Linda Mante expressed the Ministry’s gratitude to all participants and attendees.
