The West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAPCo) has resumed gas delivery at its Regulating and Metering Station at Tema, Accra, after a system shut down.
The company earlier announced that its Regulating and Metering Station in Tema automatically shut down following heavy rains and winds Wednesday morning.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, May 22, WAPCo said “Severe winds that accompanied this morning’s rains triggered the system’s automatic shutdown mechanism, causing the entire system to shut down.”
As a result, WAPCo indicated that it was unable to deliver gas to customers in Tema.
“Our Engineers are waiting for the storm to subside when it will then be safe to fix the problem,” it added
But in a new statement reporting that it had resumed gas delivery at its Regulating and Metering Station at Tema, WAPCo said it was “grateful to its key stakeholders for their patience while the system was being fixed.”
