The Office of the Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has dismissed as false social media posters suggesting that he intends to contest the flagbearership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In a press statement issued on Thursday, the office clarified that the posters circulating online did not originate from Mr Iddrisu or any of his representatives and should be completely ignored.

The statement urged the public to disregard the materials, describing them as misleading and without basis.

According to the office, Mr Iddrisu remains fully focused on his duties as Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for Tamale South. It noted that he is currently in Lusaka, Zambia, accompanying President John Dramani Mahama on official engagements.

The statement added that the minister is working closely with the President to advance the Reset Ghana agenda, with particular emphasis on reforms and development within the education sector.

The office expressed appreciation to the public for their continued support and cooperation.
