The Chief Executive Officer of ChatBots Africa, Ronald Tagoe, has highlighted the importance of partnerships and skill development in tackling the obstacles digital businesses encounter.
Additionally, he pointed out the significance of interacting with policymakers and adhering to data privacy and security protocols as additional methods to mitigate the difficulties digital enterprises face.
ChatBots Africa is a multi-channel bot platform that allows the usage of AI chatbots on social media platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook.
Mr. Tagoe’s remarks came during the Citi Business Festival Tech Forum, which took place in Accra on Friday, June 7.
The event was organised under the theme “Digital Business; Emerging Global Opportunities versus Local Challenges.”
“Strategies to surmount local challenges include: forming bilateral partnerships and collaborations; enhancing skills and retraining; engaging with policymakers; and implementing data privacy and security best practices,” Mr Tagoe asserted.
He elaborated that this approach is essential because Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), for example, struggle with a shortage of local expertise, as well as a lack of awareness and comprehension.
The Citi Business Festival 2024 is powered by 97.3 Citi FM and ChannelOne TV in partnership with Absa Bank and is sponsored by MTN Business, GIRSAL, AMG Fertilizer and Nsano Ltd.
