Supporters of the NDC who had blocked the road in front of the Police CID headquarters following the arrest of the party’s deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho had to be dispersed by the police who fired rubber bullets and tear gas at them.
Koku Anyidoho was invited by the Criminal Investigations Department [CID], for making what has been described as treasonable comments.
He was picked up at the International Press Centre in Accra today [ Tuesday] during a press conference by a group of opposition political parties known as the Inter-Party Coalition for National Sovereignty, who are kicking against the Ghana-US Defence Cooperation agreement ratified by Parliament last Friday.
Anyidoho was picked up after he made comments suggesting that Nana Addo would suffer the same fate as his father and Dr. K.A Busia, both of whom were overthrown.
