The President and Chairman of Groupe Nduom, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom has urged duty bearers and government officials to use May Day as a day to reflect and consider how to create business-oriented policies in the country.
Dr Nduom made the call in a video message wishing Ghanaian workers a Happy Workers Day today, Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
“In Ghana, we talk about jobs, earnings, pensions, we talk about so many different things, and yet we do the kinds of things that don’t encourage all of that to prosper.”

Treat gov’t work like it’s your own
He also used the opportunity to urged workers to adopt a positive attitude towards work instead of being lackadaisical.
“I’m also wishing the workers well and encouraging them also to take the jobs that they have to be their own. And do the best that they can earn not just a good pay but they can also earn a good pension so that life after working can be a happy one,” he added.
May 1 every year is set aside worldwide as a day to celebrated workers across the globe.
The theme for this year’s celebration was: “Sustainable Development Goals and Decent Work: The role of Social Partners.”
