A retired Chinese Diplomat, Ren Xiaoping has lambasted President of the United States of America, Donald Trump for creating “unnecessary tension” within the Korean Peninsula and in the Middle East.
She posited that Donald Trump’s actions, if unchecked by world leaders, could destabilize global peace.
She further criticized Donald Trump’s multiple threats to other nations as well as China’s business potential.
In an angry tone, she downplayed Donald Trump’s leadership style and admonished him to join hands with world leaders in promoting global peace.
Professor Xiaoping was addressing participants of the 2018 Seminar on Renowned African Journalists in China’s capital city, Beijing.
She entreated the African media to ignore what she described as the Western Media’s vile propaganda against China and Africa’s diplomatic ties.
“China has been a strong supporter and advocate of Africa’s peace and stability. China is committed to supporting Africa to fight against piracy on her territorial waters.”
“The Chinese government takes an active part in the mediation of instability in some African countries,” she emphasized.
In her estimation, the media in Africa is more credible than their western counterparts in terms of news dissemination.
Professor Xiaoping said China believed in sincerity, real results, affinity and good faith as the constant guiding principle of China and Africa’s diplomatic relations.
She extolled Africa for being instrumental in China’s regaining her seat at the United Nations General Assembly.
Professor Xiaoping recalled that the establishment of the Forum of China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in 2000 cemented the mutual political trust between China and Africa.
Her interaction was facilitated by China’s International Publishing Group responsible for coordinating the Annual China Seminar on Renowned African Journalists which offers participants the opportunity to explore China’s rapid transformation agenda.
