Army of Eagles is a non-denominational Christian ministry with a vision to raise word based, spirit-filled, and fruit-bearing and discerning Christian youth across the nations.
It was established in 2014 by Prophet Samuel Sowatey who is its president.
Over the past 4 years, it has provided godly counselling to a lot of youth in all spheres of life including their career direction.
The ministry holds three annual gatherings; prophetic meeting dubbed prophetic forecast, a worship concert dubbed closer and a donation outreach tagged bless a soul.
One of the core objectives of the ministry is to provide financial support to the vulnerable and marginalised in society across Ghana.
In this vein, it has consistently supported the Future Stars orphanage in Buduburam.
In 2018 alone, the Army of Eagles ministry provided twenty dual tables and chairs, one thousand two hundred (1,200) exercise books and other stationery materials for the orphanage.
The reason is simple. The ministry believes that education is a critical asset in the development of humankind.
In this respect, a conducive environment is needed to facilitate teaching and learning in order to bring out the best in both teachers and pupils.
This rationale informed the donation of the furniture to the school.
To further demonstrate the ministry’s strong conviction that education is a vital tool for human development, particularly the vulnerable and marginalised, and the ministry gave a scholarship to one child from the orphanage covering her entire JHS education.
In addition, seven classrooms together with three other staff offices of the Dansoman 2 primary school in October 2018 were painted.
This was done after the president and some executives had walked passed the school and were touched to paint the block. After the painting, the whole block took a new look which made the pupils and staff happy.
The Army of Eagles ministry intends to substantially expand its support to educational institutions in the near future.
Again, the ministry donated food items worth over four thousand Ghana cedis (GHC 4,000) during this Christmas season to the orphanage.
This is in line with scripture that enjoins Christians to remember widows and orphans. Therefore, to demonstrate the spirit and love behind Christmas, the ministry decided to contribute some food items to the orphanage.
Christmas is all about the love of God to humankind. John 3;16 says for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son for humankind to be saved.
The Army of ministry urges all to always remember orphans. These are children who hold great potential in contributing to all fields of all human endeavour including politics, science, technology, history and so on. As the president of Army of Eagles puts it “the greatest resource a family, society, country and indeed the world has is human resource. Therefore, we all need to continuously strive to provide the needed support and opportunities for all particularly for orphans who may easily be forgotten’
