After criticism following a robbery at Gomoa-Potsin in the Central Region, the Director-General of Police-Public Affairs, ACP David Eklu says the Police administration is planning to review its operational strategy on the Accra-Cape Coast highway.
Victims of the robbery attacks on the stretch have expressed frustration with the way the police handled the situation, describing a high sense of indifference by police personnel manning various check-points and police posts when they reported the attacks.

Josephine Annan-Denis, her sister and some other commuters were attacked on the Saltpond-Accra road around 8:30 pm on Monday May 27.
ACP Eklu told Citi News the service will take into account the complaints, among others as it seeks to review its operational strategies for the Highway.
According to ACP Eklu, the stretch where the attack occurred now has patrol vehicles.
“For the past two-three years we have not recorded any major incidents on the highways so this case we are taking it seriously. The regional commander will be coming tomorrow so that we can look at what we can do to support the region,” said Police-Public Affairs Director-General.
