The Ofaakor circuit court has sentenced an 18-year-old robber, Abubakar Sadick to 15 years in imprisonment.
His accomplice, 20-year-old Ibrahim Sunde, who pleaded not guilty to robbery charges was also remanded in prison custody to reappear on October 10, 2019.
Citi New’s sources say the two on September 23, armed with knives, broke into a man’s home house at Gomoa Kwabena Andoh whiles he was asleep, broke into his room and threatened to kill him.
Speaking to Citi News in an interview Central Regional Police PRO DSP Irene Oppong explained that the two robbers succeeded in robbing the victim, Abubakar Omar, of GHc1, 200.
According to the Regional Police PRO, the issues were reported to the Gomoa Ojobi Police command who arrested the two individuals.
“The case was reported and the accused persons Abubakar Sidick and Ibrahim Sunde were arrested and charged for the offences of conspiracy to rob and robbery,” DSP Irene Oppong said.
“Abubakar Saddick has been sent to the Nsawam prison to start his sentence whiles accomplice Ibrahim Sunde will reappear in court on October 10, 2019.
