The Founder of Kings Heart, a non governmental organisation made up of Chiefs and Queen mothers from all 16 regions in the country, Dr. Nana Kum Krampah 1 Chief of the Enyan Denkyira Traditional Area has called on all traditional leaders to advise their subjects to be peaceful during, before and after the December 7 elections.
She also advised the youth to refuse any financial inducements from any political leader to cause mayhem during the polls.
“We urge mothers to advise their children not to listen to the politicians, who sometimes lie and who always give money to them to misbehave,” she said.
The leader of the Igbo community in Ghana Dr. Chukwdi Ihenetu urged persons contesting the elections and their sympathisers to accept the eventual outcome.
“My advice to the candidates is that, God is the one who chooses a leader. If the people vote for you and you win, thank God. If they don’t and you lose the elections, don’t cause problems. Leadership is not by force, it’s by the grace of God,” he added.
The chiefs and Queen mothers signed a pact pledging their support and commitment to maintaining peace throughout the election period.
