The Heritage Caravan made its last tour on Day 7 around the Bonwire Kente Market Store Complex, which is the heartbeat of Kente in Ghana.
Bonwire is located in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The Chief of the Bonwire Community, Nana Bobie Ansah II organised a kente durbar in honour of the Heritage Caravan where he shared the historical development of the community which is yet to be developed into a market store complex.
The last session was a dinner party at the Rock City Hotel in the Eastern Region.
The Heritage Caravan, an initiative of Citi FM and Citi TV takes place in the month of March (Heritage Month) and it is part of a month-long exposition on the Ghanaian heritage and historical antecedents.
This year, the Caravan started in the Greater Accra Region last Saturday, March 5, 2022, and has been through some 13 regions.
The Caravan is expected to be back in Accra on March 12, 2022.
