Citi FM’s months of campaign and advocacy to get dysfunctional traffic lights in the Capital City fixed have paid off, with the long-defunct Baahyard-Awoshie traffic lights finally repaired.
Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North, Sheila Bartels, in a post on her page on X, formerly Twitter, shared images of the traffic lights being fixed with some engineers.
The lights, which are located at a busy intersection between Awoshie and Baahyard on the N1 Highway had been out of order for over a year, leading to several accidents and near-misses.
Accra-based Citi FM took up the cause of the Baahyard community and highlighted the dangers posed by the broken traffic lights at that intersection and several other broken-down traffic lights in the capital.
