Indigenous oil marketing company, Allied Ghana, has donated GHS40,000 and GHS10,000 worth of fuel towards Citi FM/Citi TV’s #Relief4LowerVolta.
Marketing Manager for Allied Oil, Richard Danso, said they were moved by the humanitarian project embarked on by Citi FM/Citi TV, hence their decision to support the affected victims.
“For some days now, we have heard of the worthy cause that Citi FM/Citi TV has embarked on concerning our friends, our parents, and brothers and sisters in the Lower Volta. The kind of disaster and what they are going through now. And we thought we couldn’t just be in our offices. We just have to reach out to them and also come and show our love towards them.”
Head of IT, Makafui Kodjokpo, also added. “By the decision of Management of Allied Ghana, we came to give a cheque donation of GHS40,000. Not only that, but also with fuel worth GHS10,000.”
DCI Microfinance Limited
DCI Microfinance Limited also donated GHS12,000 and some clothes to support the project.
Millenium Insurance
General insurance company, Millennium Insurance supported the Citi FM/Citi FM #Relief4LowerVolta with GHS20,000.
“We have seen the good works Citi FM/Citi TV is doing; we decided that we have to also support. We also know how our brothers and sisters in the Volta Region are suffering. We are here to donate an amount of GHS20,000.” Representatives of Millennium Insurance stated.
Farmerline
Ghanaian agri-tech startup, Farmerline, also supported with GHS10,000.
Tech Build Tel (TBT)
Representatives of a civil engineering company, Tech Build Tel (TBT), which also donated GHS20,000, emphasized the importance of providing safety for the affected victims.
“Our mission here is very simple. As part of our corporate social responsibilities, we felt that our brothers and sisters in the Lower Volta experiencing this spillage. It is best that we come and show our solidarity to them. It is best that we move our brothers and sisters to safety.
Having heard about whatever has happened to our sisters out there from your radio station and having seen them on your TV station. The leadership of TBT decided that we should come and support our brothers and sisters. So we have come here to issue a cheque for GHS20,000. This is to support those affected.”
Co-hosts of Citi Breakfast Show, Nathan Quao and Richard Dela-Sky, expressed appreciation to these companies for their generosity.
