Hundreds of residents of Amahira in the Greater Accra Region, on Saturday, April 7, received free medical care from the Adenta Action Chapel Medical Outreach.
Nearly a thousand people were screened and offered first aid as well as education on healthy lifestyles.
Those with severe cases were referred to nearby hospitals for intensive care.
Beneficiaries of the exercise were taken through hypertension, hepatitis B, Malaria, diabetes, eye screening, body mass index, blood pressure check and dental care among others.
The one-day outreach had over fifty medical personnel which included medical doctors, dentists, physiotherapists, nurses and other health volunteers.
Chairman of the Bishops College of the Action Chapel International, who doubles as the Adenta ACI Bishop, Bishop James Saah, said the Adenta ACI Medical Outreach was part of the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
