Highlife legend Jewel Ackah to be buried at Axim on Saturday

Ghanaian highlife artiste, Jewel Ackah, will be buried on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Axim in the Western Region.

The highlife legend who died on April 27, 2018 was reported to have suffered stroke and other ailments.

[contextly_sidebar id=”BtIgiobyPMJLdalygYAOW0pMpAYRl377″]His mortal remains will be laid in state at the Tema Community 11 Complex Park on Saturday August 4.

After that, the body will be conveyed to his hometown (Axim) for burial.

Jewel Ackah composed for songs like ‘Joyce San Bra’, ‘Kyere Mase’, ‘Manye Yie,’ ‘Bodambo Bodambo’ and ‘Asomdwe Hene.’

The ‘Prince of Highlife,’ is also known for composing the party anthem of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He left behind 11 Children.

He was 73.
