The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of New Life Homeopathic Clinic, Dr. Mark Agyei, has called on the government to incorporate homoeopathic care into the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
He said many Ghanaians have come to accept that alternative form of medical treatment, hence his belief that it will go a long way to help Ghanaians if their form of treatment is also included in the health scheme.
Dr. Agyei said his outfit is opened for deliberations with government, and thus called on all stakeholders to rally behind them as they also form part of the health delivery system in the country.
Homeopathy is a system of medical practice that treats a disease especially by the administration of minute doses of a remedy that would in larger amounts produce symptoms in healthy persons similar to those of the disease
Dr. Agyei made the suggestion in an interview with the media during the official opening of their ultra-modern four-storey head-office building at Dansoman.
New Life Homeopathic Clinic, which specializes in treating chronic diseases like stroke, infertility, prostate disorders, high blood pressure, diabetes, premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunctions among others, has been in the existence for the past five years.
The new building comprises of an Out Patient Department (OPD), Consulting Rooms, Physiotherapy Unit, Laboratory, Scanning area, Conference Room, Lobby, Out-Patient Wards for Male and Female, Canteen and many more.
Dr. Agyei urged Ghanaians to do regular medical check-ups so that they can possibly see the conditions before they get out of hand, and also advised them to regularly exercise as that helps to prevent a lot of medical conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure and even heart conditions.
