Currently a total of 57,000 trainees are benefiting from the restoration exercise at a cost of GHc20,400,000 per month. 100% of total commitment amounting to GHS 210.8 million for 2017-2018 academic year has been paid. Unemployed nurses in the country continue to mount pressure on government for failing to provide them with jobs years after completing their training.
They say, their efforts have always been fruitless. Some of gone to the extent of spending nights at the Ministry to force government to post them.
In all of such cases, the Health Ministry usually appeal to them to exercise restraint while government put in measures to post them.
