The Presbyterian University College of Ghana (PUCG) has held its 13th congregation for the 2019 graduating class at Kwahu Abetifi in the Eastern Region.
In all, a total of 702 students comprising 353 females representing 50.3% and 349 males representing 49.8% were presented with various bachelors for having successfully completed the needed academic requirements.
Addressing the gathering at the colourful ceremony, the President of PUCG Rev. Prof Adow F. Obeng speaking on the theme “Go, Deliver and Make an impact” charged the graduates to live an exemplary life and make meaningful impact in the world.
“This theme is very relevant especially at this time where our societies, communities, and workplaces are plagued with challenges that emanate from unethical behaviors from Ghanaians. Ghana needs a national orientation and complete renewal of our minds.”
“To make an impact wherever you find yourself depends on the values of honesty, hard work, determination, truth, excellence, commitment, humility, integrity, faith in God and love for humanity. These are values that will make you disciplined leaders as well as the channels of change in your chosen fields. We have tried to inculcate all these into you through the spiritual exercises and the courses you have been exposed to so we can only expect the best from you,” he said.
The special guest of honour James Ebo Whyte also encouraged the graduating class not to relent on their efforts but strive for excellence in their chosen field of work for their families, the school and the country to be proud of them.
