Lucozade Ghana on Sunday, June 21 presented 600 bottles of Lucozade energy drinks to 100 convalescing male patients at the 37 Military Hospital.
The gesture was done to celebrate men on admission at the 37 Military Hospital as the world marks Father’s Day.
Speaking after the donation, the Brand Manager for Lucozade Ghana, Mrs Gloria Ofori said, the gesture is Lucozade Ghana’s way of putting smiles on the faces of men who cannot be with their families on Father’s Day.
“Today is Father’s Day and we thought that there will be fathers who may not be well and under the good care of the 37 Military hospital. We decided to pay them a visit and bring them a little token to help them recuperate. Lucozade is a convalescence brand made from Glucose. Lucozade is all about regaining lost energy when you are sick or low on energy.”
“We want all fathers to know we appreciate them, and we recognize their strong role in our homes, communities and the country. Without them, our communities will not stand. We have bags with bottles of Lucozade for 100 fathers on admission at the 37 Military Hospital.”
She encouraged the convalescing patients to stay positive and adhere to the advice of their doctors and nurses.
Lt. Col. Richard Okyere Mintah thanked Lucozade Ghana for their thoughtful gesture. “These gestures help patients to recover quickly aside the clinical aspect. Lucozade has been our partner for a long time and we are grateful for all you have been doing to contribute to health care in the country” he added.
The donation is part of Lucozade’s longstanding commitment to ensuring that Ghanaians are refreshed with good glucose-based energy drinks.
It would be recalled that Lucozade Ghana, together with their main Distributor, Rafimex, donated over 8000 cans of Lucozade energy drink to the Ghana Armed Forces on the frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and as well as a donation of 1200 bottles to the Chief Imam’s office to help restore lost energies during the month-long fasting period.
