NIIT Ghana, the foremost brand in technology training, has partnered with TalentsinAfrica, a skill assessment for talents searching platform to facilitate placements and internships for its students.
It is the only IT training institution in the country that can boldly assure its students of a job before they complete it. The institution promotes experiential learning through its trademark LACC (Learning Architecture Based on Collaborative Constructivism) methodology.
It also uses its online classroom facility to execute LACC components like Collaborate, Construct, Experiment and Apply.
Students gain expertise in the latest technological concepts in a nurturing environment that encourages practical training over the textbook approach.
NIIT Ghana’s Director and Business Head Sujith Jayaprakash said this was a calculated step taken by the institution towards preparing its students for the fourth industrial revolution.
“Education nowadays is undoubtedly focused on nurturing young minds to become entrepreneurs or skilled professionals. Our goal is to build a strong digital workforce in Africa, which can churn out technological leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs and mentors in the future.”
It is time for public and private organizations to identify their potential role in this revolution and synergize their resources, he said.
Emmanuel Leslie Addae, the Co-founder and CEO of TalentsinAfrica, said Africa has the largest youth population in the entire world, and this strength has forced global industry players to shift their focus towards this continent.
“Time has come for Africans to sharpen their IT skills and prepare for a revolutionary change in the digital space. This change is possible only if the young generation of African can understand their untapped potential and vitalize it to create wonders in this region.”
As 2020 marks the 20th Anniversary of NIIT Ghana, the management has introduced online programs in Programming, Databases, Blockchain and Graphic Design.
These are introductory programs for anyone who wants to learn these latest high-demand digital skills, even if they don’t have any experience or knowledge about these subjects.
NIIT Ghana is now inviting the expression of interest from various private and public schools to conduct these programmes as a summer course for students (https://niitghana.com).
