In honour of African Union Day, which falls on May 25th, 2021, OpenLabs (Formerly NIIT) hosted a multicultural celebration with a range of activities aimed at promoting the many cultures represented at OpenLabs Ghana.
The AUFest event took place on the 28th of May 2021 at the Auditorium of the OpenLabs Center on Ring Road Accra.
The event, which was the first of its kind, aimed to bring together the various nationalities represented at the institution, bridge cultural differences, and foster unity within the OpenLabs family by learning about each other’s cultures and being aware of the similarities and differences that bind countries together.
The event was not only mind-blowing but also educational, providing the audience with a comprehensive understanding of foreign cultures.
Liberia, Benin, Equatorial Guinea, Republic of Guinea, Chad, Cameroon, and Congo were among the countries represented at the event.
Participants gave presentations on their own cultures, highlighting similarities and distinctions.
The applause that followed each performance demonstrated the level of enthusiasm in the crowd.
The day was carried by participants from Benin, who performed an enlightening presentation entertainingly.
The event witnessed representatives from various African embassies in Accra.
The representative from Liberia High Commission highly commended the Liberia students and appreciated the OpenLabs team for organizing such an event that shows Africa’s Unity in Diversity.
