The Ghana National Fire Service in the Savannah Region recorded a 28.3% increase in the number of fire outbreaks in the region in the first quarter of 2022.
This increase is being recorded at a time national fire outbreaks are seeing a decline.

Ranging from the loss of lives, homes and properties, every region in Ghana has felt the devastating effects of uncontrolled fires.
This year, the Ghana National Fire Service seeks to heighten awareness of the public about fire safety and the roles of individuals, with the aim to turn the narrative around.
