The renowned Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Kwaku Group and Tanzania’s Honorary Consul in Ghana, Dr. Ken Kwaku has been awarded a Prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in this year’s just-ended Ghana CEO Awards held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel on Saturday night in Accra.
This remarkable achievement signifies his stunning leadership qualities and exceptional dedication to serve across the globe and also for being an extremely respected personality advocating for best business practices.
This honour only comes to confirm his efficiency in service quality, and service standards and testament to his commitment to excellence in every aspect of his operations.
The 2nd edition of the Ghana CEO Awards was on the theme; The Role of Business Leadership Towards Achieving the SDGs in Ghana. The iconic premium scheme seeks to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the nation’s most influential and accomplished CEOs who are verified and constantly committed to Stay relevant, Stay connected and staying ahead of the Game and have used the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately the country.
Addressing the media after receiving the all-important award, Dr. Ken Kwaku expressed profound gratitude to his family, employees and everyone who has given him the opportunity to be of service to them.
According to him, this achievement reflects his commitment to delivering the highest standards in all spheres of operation throughout his years of service.
“I am extremely grateful for such the highest honour placed me. This is really beautiful and I appreciate it so much. I dedicate this milestone to my family, friends and cherished clients whom I have served tirelessly over the years”, he said.
The event featured renowned dignitaries such as H. E. Mahamudu Bawumia, (Vice President of the Republic of Ghana), H. E Harriet Thompson ( British High Commissioner to Ghana), H.R.M King Tackie Teiko Tsuru 11 (Paramount King of the GA States), Mark Okraku (Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture), H. E Charles Abani, (United Nations Resident Coordinator, Ghana), H. E Javier Guitierrez ( Spanish Ambassador to Ghana) and several other important personalities graced the occasion.
ABOUT DR. KEN KWAKU
He is an International Business Consultant and served as a Special Advisor to the government of Tanzania, several African countries and corporations throughout the world. He has also worked in the World Bank Group in various capacities between 1976 and 2004.
Within the World Bank Group, he served as Global Program Manager, Senior Country and Loan Officer and World Bank Resident Representative in Tanzania, first Director for Africa for the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) of the World Bank Group among other key roles.
He was a stakeholder and Board Chairman of Bayport Financial Services in Tanzania. Dr. Ken Kwaku received his Education from Achimota School, McGill University, University of Toronto where he was awarded the Commonwealth Scholarship for Canada and Harvard Business School.
Dr. Kwaku served as Ghana’s Honorary Consul in Tanzania from 2007 to 2022 and is currently Tanzania’s Hon. Consul in Ghana.
