The Trades Union Congress (TUC) has initiated a nationwide campaign advocating for the ratification of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Convention 190 in Ghana.
In collaboration with labour unions, government representatives, Civil Society Organisations, and international partners, the TUC held discussions on Workplace Violence and Harassment in Ghana.
Following these discussions, the Trades Union Congress (Ghana), in partnership with the International Labour Organization’s Bureau for Workers’ Activities (ACTRAV), organised a march through several main streets of Tamale to protest against Workplace Violence and Harassment in Ghana.
The march, which occurred on Thursday, February 29, 2024, ended with the submission of a communique to the Northern Regional Minister, Shani Alhassan Saibu.
This is part of a nationwide campaign to promote safer workplaces and eliminate Gender-Based Violence.
