The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Flokefama, Mr Emmanuel Kwabena Kenney has donated some equipment to the University of Ghana Medical Centre,(UGMC).
The gesture was in line with his desire to celebrate his birthday this year by putting smiles on the faces of others.
For this reason, he donated an Infant incubator, Baby bassinets and an Ambulance ventilator worth GH₵100,000 to UGMC on Friday, February 23, 2024.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mr Emmanuel Kwabena Kenney, said, this forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) to help boost basic child healthcare.
He said his outfit would help the hospital with engineers and application specialists to ensure the equipment is well taken care of.
Dr. Naa Djama Glover, a Paediatrician who received the donation on behalf of the facility expressed her excitement about the gesture.
She said that incubators are crucial for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where they receive a lot of ill newborns, with most being preterm and ill term.
