The GIMPA Business School has climaxed its 2024 Business Week celebration on the theme “Stimulating Innovation, Elevation, and Celebration through Coaching.”
As part of activities marking the celebration, the GIMPA Business Students Association (GIPSA) organized a community outreach at the Dome Market on Saturday as a means of giving back to society.
During the outreach, the students educated the traders on topics such as digital marketing and customer relationship management to help them improve their businesses and increase profits.
Citi News interacted with Lady Diana Odumase, the project management student club secretary of GIMPA and highlighted the importance of tapping into book-keeping and the profits it can yield for a trader.
“We intend to give these traders knowledge of ways to save towards their future business prospects.”
Francisca Seshimey, who is the president of the PMI student club at GIMPA also spoke on the importance of social media marketing and promotion of businesses online.
“Most of our market women use smart mobile phones yet have no deep knowledge of how to utilize social media marketing to yield profits for them, the GIMPA business school intends to train and educate our mothers, aunties and nieces on impactful nuances of social media marketing.”
The acting dean of the GIMPA Business School, Professor Ebenezer Adaku spoke to Citi News on the impact they expect to reach to traders by encouraging them to equip their business in the near future.
“Leadership is learning to give back to society the vast knowledge one may have acquired in theory, we, therefore, hope to give our traders various ways of marketing to equip them as 21st-century women.”
The association also collaborated with the Achimota Hospital and renovated the Ecological Female Ward (Ward 1).
