PETROSOL Platinum Energy Ltd, a leading oil and gas company, has announced the appointment of its Chief Finance Officer, Lawrencia Himans, as a member of the reconstituted Board of Directors.
Lawrencia, a highly respected accounting and finance professional with over 18 years of experience in Corporate Finance, has been instrumental in the company’s growth and success.
She has been with PETROSOL since 2019, initially serving as the Incoming Head of Finance & Planning before assuming the substantive role on October 1, 2019.
During her tenure, she has contributed to the company’s sustainable growth and long-term viability through the proper management of financial resources.
The appointment was announced on Thursday, May 16, 2024, and Lawrencia officially assumed her new role as a member of the Board of Directors.
The decision was made in recognition of her excellent performance and leadership, as well as her unwavering commitment to the company’s vision.
Lawrencia has received numerous accolades for her outstanding performance, including the Exemplary Leadership Award at the Women in Mining Energy Awards (WiMEA) in 2023 and the CEO’s Special Award for Outstanding Female Leadership at PETROSOL’s Women in Leadership Conference in March 2024.
Before joining PETROSOL, Lawrencia held various leadership positions in the oil and gas sector, including Head of Treasury Operations at Airtel Ghana Ltd, Commercial Manager at Maranatha Oil Services, and Financial Controller at UBI Petroleum.
Lawrencia holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Wuhan University of Technology, China, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Ghana, Legon. She has also undergone several courses in finance and accounting.
Commenting on her appointment, Lawrencia expressed her gratitude to the shareholders for their vote of confidence and her excitement to work with the other directors to make PETROSOL a model of excellence in the energy sector.

She has what it takes to excel on the Board.”
