Total Energies Ghana has launched the 2024 edition of its Startuppers challenge, which aims at supporting businesses in Ghana and on the African continent.
This initiative aligns with the company’s commitment to enhance job creation and stimulate the country’s economy through support for entrepreneurs and innovators
At a media briefing on this year’s Total Startupper Challenge in Ghana, Managing Director of TotalEnergies, Olufemi Babajide, shared the company’s decision to embark on the campaign to support young African businesses
The competition is expected to be hosted in 32 other African countries.
This edition, coinciding with the company’s centennial celebration, will recognize and reward 100 entrepreneurs across the continent in three prize categories.
During the 2021/2022 Startupper of the Year Challenge in Ghana, TotalEnergies Marketing Ghana PLC honored three young entrepreneurs: Mathias Charles Yabe (AkoFresh), Anaporka Adazabra (Farmio Ltd), and Adriana Appiagyei Nsiah Nimo (Reecoplast).
The Total Energies Startupper of the Year Challenge has been running in Ghana since 2016, aiming to support the innovations of young entrepreneurs and business ideas with the potential to address key economic challenges.
“This new edition launching today reaffirms TotalEnergies’ dedication to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship and supporting the socio-economic development of African nations where the company operates. The Challenge enhances the social fabric of local communities by aiding the continent’s most innovative entrepreneurs in realizing their projects.

at TotalEnergies, Anita Boakye explained that the competition aligns with the company’s dedication to fostering job creation and enhancing the overall economy of the country.
