General Overseer of the Powerhouse Ministries, Rev. Bernard Arde- Acquah, has admonished Ghanaians not to concentrate too much on their successes at the expense of other people.
According to him, plans set out by individuals must be achieved with the aim of improving and saving lives.
[contextly_sidebar id=”nMvhL3plwmckD5cS7QIm0RlvPgCsFWBR”] He was speaking as the first guest of Citi FM’s 2019 Effective Living Series on the theme ‘Overcoming the Limited Mindset for Success ‘on Wednesday’s edition of the Citi Breakfast Show.
The revered man of God indicated that success should be measured on the number of lives one impacts and not ones possessions, adding that in a bid to succeed, other people’s lives should not be destroyed.
“You need to think about other people than yourself. You cannot achieve success in your world and not look at other lives. You look at the impact and effect of what you do on other lives. That is how you talk about success. So, do not look and talk about what you have. Your actions must define other lives so that people will want to model after us, that is how success must be defined. Success never shows off, it becomes an example.”
Rev. Arde-Acquah also advised individuals to embrace a positive state of mind because the ways a particular group of people think ultimately have a rippling effect on the output of their day to daily activities.
“Your outlook is what you know and what you will know. The mindset of the people in a country is what manifests in the productivity of the country. Our mindset drives our future and development. The whole GDP of the country is actually a sum of the mindset of the people just as having cocoa and not been able to use it. So the easiest way becomes selling it to other human beings. The question then becomes, what do the other human beings do that we must also do? If we have the mindset that is to too difficult, it becomes a boundary road.”
“Success is in steps, when you achieve something that is not the end. It must lead you to do much more. Don’t sit down and think it is okay, he stressed.
