The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana completed the 2020 voter registration exercise on Sunday August 9, 2020.
The commission initially set a target of 15 million voters, but data released by the commission on August 6 showed that over 16 million voters had been registered across the country.
The EC is yet to released the complete set of data, which would include the final day of phase 6 of the exercise and the two days used for the mop-up exercise.
Since the year 2000, the Greater Accra, Ashanti and Eastern regions have been the regions with the most registered voters, with the Upper East and West regions always being the bottom two regions.
The Volta, Brong Ahafo, Northern, Central and Western regions have recorded their positions change on the charts over the years. However, the Northern region has become the fourth region with the most voters after the latest data released by the EC.
