The Wa East Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Upper West Region, Kuri Suglo has died.
Mr. Suglo is reported to have died in the early hours of Sunday, November 29th 2020 at the Upper West Regional hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
The Upper West Regional Organizer of the NDC, Issahaku Nuhu Putiaha, who confirmed the incident to Citi News said the late secretary, on Friday night, at about 10:30 pm complained of a severe headache after addressing a campaign rally at Chagu in the Wa East constituency and was rushed to the Regional Hospital.
“We were all at Chagu last Friday evening. After addressing the rally, he complained of severe headache. So he was rushed to the hospital immediately.”
The Regional Organiser added that Mr. Suglo was diagnosed with a massive stroke on arrival at the hospital and was put on treatment until his demise.
The late Wa East constituency Secretary was a committed NDC member who rose from a branch executive to become a constituency secretary in 2014; a position he held until his sudden demise.
He also once served as an assemblyman for the Jeyiri Electoral area.
