New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate hopeful for Abuakwa South in the Eastern Region, Dr. Kingsley Agyemang has held a session with candidates sitting for the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Municipality.
The exercise which is dubbed ‘Kingsley Quizzes’ is the first of its kind in the Municipality to prepare the candidates adequately for the exams as they transition to the next stage of the academic ladder.
Dr. Agyemang, who is also the Registrar of the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat, embarked on the engagement in partnership with the Abuakwa South Municipal Education Directorate.
The aim of this series of mock exams is equip both the final year students and teachers with the requisite skills to tackle question especially in the core subjects – Mathematics, English, Science and Social Studies and to enable the candidates to come out with flying colors.
Worth nothing is the fact that some prominent chief examiners were also present to engage the candidates.
Dr. Agyemang urged the candidates to make good use of the educational opportunities offered by the government given the introduction of the Free Senior High School programme.
“To whom much is given, much is expected. Take advantage of the numerous educational interventions rolled out in the Municipality including the Kingsley Quizzes”, the MP aspirant charged the students.
On her part, the Abuakwa South Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Comfort Ofori-Appiah commended the organizers for the exercise.
She was hopeful beneficiaries will produce stellar results and make the Municipality proud.
