The Bongo District Assembly in the Upper East Region has handed over a site for the construction of a lorry station to ease the plight of drivers and give the district a facelift.

Mr. Ayinbisa encouraged residents to take advantage of the Build Operate Transfer (BOT) component of the project to own some stores for their economic ventures.
He appealed to residents and development partners to support the contractor for a successful execution of the project.
Mr. Ayinbisa cautioned traders of the Bongo market to refrain from extending their products to the roadside to avoid been dealt with by the assembly’s taskforce.
He, however, hinted that plans are underway to give the market a face-lift to the benefit of traders in the district.
Paramount Chief of the Bongo traditional area, Bonaba Baba Salifu Alemyaarum, commended the assembly for the lorry station project and appealed to occupants who will be affected by the project to, in the interest of development, sacrifice for the success of the project.
He impressed on the contractor to keep to the project duration to salvage the plight of drivers and traders of the area.
He then pledged his support and urged his subjects and people of the area to support the contractor to execute the project.
