The Students Hub Gh in collaboration with Sedesel Publications is organizing a writing competition for Ghanaian students in the wake of COVID-19 with students on a forced vacation.
The competition targeting ages between 17 and 25 seeks to challenge students in using their creative skills for storytelling on two topics thus Social Distancing and Isolation.
Applicants are expected to submit a short story between 1000 words and maximum 2000 words (titles are not included in the word count) under one of the themes; Social Distancing or Isolation.
This should be sent to admin@studentshubgh.com before 30th April 2020.
The first winner gets a Laptop, Book package, and a short story published in the collection.
The second prize winner gets a book package, Tablet (Kobo reader/Kindle reader), and a short story published in the collection. The third prize consists of book package and short story published in the collection.
Also, the top 10 writers will all have their short stories published in the collection.
Individuals are expected to follow the guidelines that are outlined below to avoid disqualification.
- Send only stories; poetry with line breaks will not be considered. –1 submission per person.
- Only original unpublished stories are accepted
- Send your stories as pdf attachment to admin@studentshubgh.com.
- Page size: A4 Font and Font Size: Times New Roman, 12 points.
- By entering this contest the author grants Studentshubgh and Sedesel Publications the exclusive rights to publish the story.
- All submissions must have a cover page with the following details:

• Name of author
• City of residence
• Age
• Gender
• Email address
• Telephone number
