The First Lady of Ghana, Madam Rebecca Akufo-Addo says the Volta Region has admonished Queen Mothers in the Volta and Oti Regions of Ghana to vote for a better future for their children and Ghana.
Speaking at a meeting with some queen mothers from the Volta and Oti Regions, Madam Rebecca Akufo-Addo said the two regions have seen some major developments since the assumption of office of the Akufo-Addo administration.
“The Volta Region has had its share of these developments. Classroom blocks have been built in places like Kpeche, Worawora, and Dzekorpe, and the girl’s dormitory for Senior High School built at Denu. CHPS compounds were built in some places in the region and the nurses and midwifery hostel built in Keta.”
The First Lady added that the regions needed more development to be done and she is positive that this government can be trusted to deliver.
She stated that the government has done a lot and believes that all their works and projects will speak for them.
Madam Rebecca indicated that “We have shown this and need your support to do even more in the next four years. I know I can count on your support for a better future for our children.”
Madam Rebecca also said that the NPP had been able to extend electricity to Aveme and other communities in the region.
She stated that the future of Ghana is more important than what political party one belonged and so people should vote based on the projects and developments they have seen in the country.
“This is a time to put political affiliations aside and vote for the future of our children and Ghana,” she said.
The First Lady also stated that another four years under NPP will see a total transformation of the Region.
