President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Saturday, November 21, 2020, resumed his campaign activities with a tour of the Volta Region.
The President will be in Hohoe to canvass support for Energy Minister, John Peter Amewu who is contesting the seat on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Nana Akufo-Adoo while in Hohoe will commission a mini-hydro plant and inspect some ongoing road project.
He will also interact with chiefs and people of the municipality.
The President will then move to the Eastern Region to begin a two-day tour of the Region.
Presidential Correspondent of Citi FM/TV, Sammi Wiafe who has been following the tour reported that: “The President has been to Alavanyo where he commissioned 45KW hydro mini-dam which will provide power to the people of the community and its environs. The President will also go into the Hohoe constituency where he is expected to interact with the chiefs and people and address a durbar to make a strong case for why he needs a continuation of his mandate in the December polls”, he reported.
It will be recalled that President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia suspended their campaign activities following the demise of former president, Jerry John Rawlings.
The Akufo-Addo led administration also declared a seven-day national day of mourning following the death of former President, Jerry John Rawlings.
The President is scheduled to visit the Ashanti, Western, Greater Accra, and Central Regions.
His Vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is also expected to be in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions as well as the five Regions of the North.
