The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe and his entourage have been involved in a car crash on the Berekum-Drobo stretch.

Kwame Baffoe and his team were returning to Sunyani from a campaign in the Jaman South constituency when the incident occurred.

There were no casualties. The injured have been sent to the Holy Family Hospital at Berekum.

The Bono Regional NPP Communications Director, Seth Asare Bediako confirmed the incident to Citi News.

“We had a campaign at Jaman South. And on our way coming to Sunyani, just after Jinjini, a strange car just came to join our convoy. So he overtook my car and joined the convoy. Strangely, there was a speed ramp on the road. It seems he wasn’t familiar with the roads, so he hit one of our cars, the second Vice Chairman’s car. And it veered off the road, somersaulted and then went into a ditch. By grace, they had some minor injuries. We’ve sent them to the Holy Family hospital in Brekum, and they are responding to treatment,” he said.

Asare Bediako also added that the NPP Regional Chairman’s car was also hit.
