Elizabeth Afoley Quaye, the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture, failed to overcome the challenge from the National Democratic Congress’ Agnes Naa Momo in the Krowor Constituency parliamentary race.
Mrs. Quaye lost by over 5,000 votes in a rematch of the 2016 election.
Running on the New Patriotic Party ticket, she polled 32,602 to Mrs. Lartey’s 41,851.
The Ghana Union Movement’s Hannah Bortey’s 545 votes, which was less than the 545 rejected ballots.
