Members of the governing New Patriotic Party are celebrating the victory of the re-election of their leader, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Akufo-Addo won 51.29% of the 13 million votes recorded in the just-ended December 7 polls.
He had 6,730,413 of the votes while his main contender, John Dramani Mahama garnered 6,214,889 votes representing 47.36%.
President Akufo-Addo’s victory was announced by the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
