The deadline for submission of essays in the 2022 edition of The Literacy Challenge has elapsed.

The competition, targeting Junior High School students across the country, requires students to submit an essay on the theme “You have been appointed as an advisor to the Minister of Communications and Digitalization. In not less than 600 words, you are required to write to the Minister, advising on how Ghana can deploy technology for poverty reduction and national development.”

Prior to the deadline, a team from Citi FM organised roadshows in the various schools to garner interest for the competition.

At the end of a four-week tour, the team visited 45 junior high schools across the country.

This year’s competition is sponsored by Vodafone Ghana Foundation as part of the Kindred Partners, Prospectus Ghana Ltd, Dext Technology, Alife Soap and InvestCorp Asset Management Limited.
