The Women’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost in North Kaneshie (Kaneshie Estate Assembly), has donated toiletries, a brand-new refrigerator set among other items to Kaneshie Polyclinic’s Gynaecology department
According to the Church’s lead Pastor, Rev. David Oppong who doubles as the North Kaneshie District Pastor said the donation form’s part of the Church’s outreach in helping the less privileged in society.
The donation which is an initiative of the Women’s Ministry in the Kaneshie Estate Assembly Church saw members of the Church engage in a clean-up exercise at the Kaneshie Polyclinic inside the Okaikoi South Constituency.
Items donated include a new refrigerator set, toiletries, locally made soaps, disinfectants, bedsheets, napkins, and paper tissue among other items.
Speaking to the media after the donation, lead Pastor, David Oppong assured of the Church’s continuous support of the hospital.
According to him, the donation and clean-up exercise at the Kaneshie Polyclinic forms part of the broader vision of the Church of Pentecost national leadership’s ‘possessing the nation agenda
“We believe this forms part of the possessing the nation’s agenda, that as we preach the gospel of Christ we also have to demonstrate the love of Christ to the people, we do not only by word of mouth, we do that by our deeds, that is why decided to do this presentation. We believe it is going to encourage our brothers and sisters here, that God loves everybody including them.” Pastor David Oppong said.
Prior to the donation, the Church also conducted an extensive clean-up exercise in the health facility and street evangelism within the Church’s environs in Kaneshie. Patients at the hospital who obliged also had prayers offered for them.
The donation and clean-up exercise formed part of the Church Women’s Wing led by Deaconess Diana Bekoe’s effort to give back to society and also to “share the love of Christ”.
