The Municipal Chief Executive of Ga West, Clement Wilkinson, has expressed concern that the timely completion of the Ofankor-Nsawam junction road may face delays unless the Electricity Company of Ghana and Ghana Water Company Limited promptly reposition their pylons and water lines along the stretch.
He says these infrastructure elements are currently impeding the progress of the project.
Speaking to Citi News, Mr. Wilkinson earnestly urged the utility service providers to take immediate action to address the issue.
“The challenges we have now are with the utility service providers. Ghana Water and Electricity Company of Ghana have their lines within the service roads. What is bothering us right now is that we are constructing footbridges. Wherever you see the footbridge, it ends under the pylons.
Then they can’t do anything because the pylons are there, and this is causing a delay on this road. We are pleading that they do their best for us,” the Municipal Chief Executive of Ga West pleaded.
