The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has announced its intention to collaborate with Citi FM/Citi TV to advance initiatives aimed at improving tertiary education in Ghana.
During a recent stakeholder meeting with the management of Citi FM/Citi TV, Professor Ahmed Jinapor Abdulai, the Director General of GTEC, expressed confidence in the partnership, highlighting the station’s track record in promoting developmental projects.
“The commission is interested in partnering with you. We are partnering with you as an agency, in how we can collectively and, through our unique experiences, work together to ensure that tertiary education delivery in this country is taken to the acceptable level, one that is worthy of emulation, and one that feeds into our developmental aspirations as a country.”
Samuel Attah-Mensah, Managing Director of Citi FM/Citi TV, emphasized management’s dedication to enhancing quality tertiary education nationwide.
“For the betterment of this country and tertiary education at large, we believe that, in coming together, we will just achieve more, and that is why we commit ourselves to this. So in these months and years to come, I am sure that as you roll out your plans, just put us in somewhere and we will not hesitate to come on board.”
“We give our commitment. We are concerned about not just the quality of tertiary education, but the industry of tertiary education, because tertiary education may be local physically, but it is global in every sense that you can think of.”
